From initial concepts and planning through to technical design and construction, our approach is focused on creating great spaces while making the process as straightforward as possible.

With over 10 years of experience across construction and project delivery, our designs are informed by how buildings are actually put together. That means buildability, detailing and practical considerations are thought about from the outset.
FROM CONCEPT TO CONSTRUCTION
Our involvement doesn't have to stop at planning permission. We can provide technical design, Building Regulations support and construction advice, giving clients continuity from the first idea through to the build.
INSPECTION & QUALITY
Our construction experience also supports our independent inspection services. From new build snagging to construction inspections, we help identify defects, workmanship issues and items requiring attention, providing clear photographic evidence and practical advice.

Independent Inspections
I founded CW Architectural Design after spending more than 10 years working across architectural design, construction and project delivery.
My background is a little different to someone who has worked purely within an architectural practice. I've spent a significant amount of time involved in the construction side of projects too, which has given me a practical understanding of how buildings go together, where problems commonly occur and how decisions made during the design stage can affect the build later on.
Today, I work with homeowners, self-builders and developers on everything from extensions and renovations through to new build homes and residential developments. I can support a project from the first feasibility and design ideas, through planning and technical design, and into construction.
That construction experience also led naturally into inspection work. I provide independent new build snagging and construction inspections, looking beyond the drawings to identify defects, workmanship issues and areas that may need attention.
For me, good architectural design isn't just about how a building looks. It needs to work for the people using it, respond properly to its surroundings and, ultimately, be practical to build.
That's the approach I bring to every project.
